T LOunge

The eyes have it.

Long Bar at the Sanderson Hotel in London, courtesy of Planet Fabulon

Ladies, slap on some bronzer because T Lounge this week is fabulous but that lighting is decidedly unflattering. If you want meaningless sex with a stranger tonight (and who doesn't?), then you're going to have to haul out the makeup kit so you don't wind up looking like Lily Munster.

So, congrats to TIFFANY, who won last week's T Lounge prize of a Laura Bennett original. Tiffany was one of over 40 people to get all six guesses correct. As an aside, we just want to point out that never in the history of the T Lounge contest have so many men entered to win a dress. The gays love Laura Bennett!

Now, this week is the last week for prizes and we saved what we think will be the best for last. The holidays are almost upon us and the winner of this gift will either have something stylish to wear or stylish to give away.

PR alum Joe Faris, who is both a doll and the lead designer for Schott NYC, has graciously offered up a leather jacket from Schott. Even better, the winner can choose to receive either the men's or women's version AND the sizes range from Small to 3x Large for the men's and x-Small to 3x Large for the women's. The men's jacket retails for $450 and the women's for $360.

We will be so jealous of whoever wins this!

Now, STOP!

THE RULES HAVE CHANGED THIS WEEK, POODLES!

Because there are only 6 designers left, you only get ONE CHANCE to pick your top and bottom three instead of the usual three chances. Got that? ONE ENTRY PER PERSON.

1) Pick the top 3 and bottom 3 designers of Episode 11.
2) ONLY 1 ENTRY FOR THIS CONTEST.
3) If more than one person picks correctly, we'll pull the winning name out of a bag.

4) You must post your email address so we can contact you if you won.

5) No entries will be accepted once the show starts.

Here's the preview to help you guess:

In or Out: Susan Lucci

Who doesn't love Erica Kane?

Even though we have some issues with this, we'll give her an IN because it's still a stylish, eye-catching dress and good old Susan is working the shit out of it, Tupperware tits and all.

BUT.

We think the changes she made to the dress made it a far less interesting dress. It may just be a result of photography and lighting, but it looks to us like the altered dress is in a far "reddier" red than the original, more toned-down red. Certainly, Susan's got the coloring to pull off a fire engine red, but that with the gigantic hip bow gives her a decidedly "Christmas present" look. Second, virtually all of the textural interest is gone except for that little strip over her left boob. Again, it makes the dress a lot less interesting. Plus, that strip over the boob almost doesn't make any sense anymore. It worked when the bow and the skirt picked up the same detail, but it just kind of stands out for no reason now.

Oh, and we like the shoes but the bag looks like it was made from scraps left over from the dress and that's never a good thing.

ELLE Italia: Couturama

Here's some B&W pretty for your day.

ELLE Italia, November 2009

The clothes are gorgeous, the model is fabulous and yet somehow, this one leaves us a little flat. It's not the lack of color in the pictures. Maybe it's the staging. As in, the total lack of it. We don't mind plain backdrops, but we figure if you're going to go so low-key, you should offer up stark and eye-catching images and somehow, this one fails on that front. It's just a model vamping in some of the world's most expensive clothes.

Good news, bitches!

We'll keep this one brief.

Lifetime just confirmed to us that, and we quote: "Nina and Michael will be in all episodes of season 7."

HUZZAH, SAY WE!

What say you?

PR Canada Winners' Spring 2010

Time to check in on some of the PR designers north of the border, eh?

S1 PR Canada winner Evan Biddell and S2 PR Canada winner Sunny Fong presented their collections at LG Toronto Fashion Week.

Evan Biddell

Some interesting shapes, and while we like the color story, it's a bit limited. He has a real knack for making stylish jackets and coats. We're not all that sold on most of the dresses though. And harem pants are never going to happen, no matter how many designers push them on us.

To be frank, it's a little dull. Although attention must be paid to those pleated print skirts. They really are gorgeous. More of that and less of the same old, same old in neutral colors would have really bumped this collection up.
