Yea or Nay: Lace Headband
Darlings, the time has come for you to exercise your Constitutional right to vote on a pressing issue.Victoria Beckham, who will serve as a guest judge on American Idol, heads auditions in Boston wearing the Carmontelle dress from her fall 2009 collection and YSL Trib Two platform pumps, which is to be expected. It's become something of a uniform for her in recent months. So let's forget about everything below the neck (which shouldn't be hard; all you have to do is squint a little and she magically disappears like a naked lady on a vintage naughty pen) and focus on her head:
Okay, obviously we vote NAY, but don't let our opinion sway you. You tell us: is this a YAY or a NAY? Would you wear this? Do you think ANYONE could wear this and look good?

David and Victoria Beckham for Giorgio Armani
Photographed in Milan by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott

Don't get us wrong, the pics are fabulous; a fitting tribute to greed, Photoshop, flattering lighting, and eating disorders.
But aren't we all a little tired of these two whores by now?
Can't they just stand in front of a mirror professing their self-love like everyone else?[Photos:Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott/Giorgio Armani]

Victoria Beckham Fall 2009

Posh recently showed off her latest collection of looks, which might as well been called "The Inside of My Closet." Style.com was there:
"The fits-like-a-glove sheath made a reappearance, this time in soft gray cashmere with little cap sleeves. New to the mix were short day dresses in black stretch wool felt, above-the-knee cocktail numbers in gold tinsel bouclé, and gowns in crepe or matte sequins with elegant trains. (Capes in felt or silk gazar were also a new category for Beckham, but they didn't quite have the need-it-now quality of her frocks.)"
Well, her friendship with Roland Mouret has certainly helped her "design" career, hasn't it? To say she's "inspired" by his work would be a bit of an understatement. Still, we mostly like the collection. Posh is selling one brand and that's herself. It makes sense that a line of her clothing looks like nothing more than her unpacking her suitcase and having a runway show to celebrate. We like the dramatic, Crawford-esque gowns as well as some of the little shift dresses, especially the gold one. The short, shiny jackets with the big bows look a little chip in a chip way.
ENOUGH with the exposed zippers. It was interesting for about 4 and a half minutes.
Speaking of Posh, let's continue judging her. Here she is leaving "La Risacca" restaurant in Milan, Italy wearing Alexander McQueen Resort 2009 and Miu Miu whipstitch pumps.

She looks great. It's a killer dress and a killer set of heels. You really can't go wrong with that.

Oscars 2009 Parties
Let's take one last, loving look at these celebrity bitches getting their drunk on, shall we?

Jessica Biel attends the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Oscar de la Renta Fall 2009
It's just alright. To be honest, it looks a little cheesy - and the gold belt was not an improvement.

Carrie Underwood attends the 17th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party in Georges Chakras Spring 2009 Couture
Kinda hated this one. It's too stiff and shapeless on her, like she's wearing a very embellished lamp shade.

Carolina Herrera attends the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Carolina Herrera Spring 2009
On the model, it's an interesting, if unflattering dress. On a non-model, i.e., Carolina Herrera, it just looks like too much dress. It's just not working on her.

Claire Danes attends the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Zac Posen Spring 2009
This is a really tough dress to pull off and we'll give her credit for trying, but again, this just isn't working. Hate the neckline and the sleeves.

Debra Messing attends the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Jenny Packham Fall 2008
Biggest HATEDRESS of the night. We can't tell you enough how much we hate this dress. It's just plain ugly - these pictures are actually almost flattering - and her boobs were hanging out the side.

DVF attends the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2009
Diane, we love you and we congratulate you on your legs, but something a little more formal for the next Oscar party, mkay?

Gwen Stefani attends the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Chanel Fall 2008 Couture
This is another really tough dress to pull off. The trick is, you need to be 20 years old and a model. Gwen is neither.

Jessica Alba attends the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Roland Mouret Resort 2009
Loathe as we are to admit it, she looks pretty fabulous.

Madonna attends the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Christian Dior Spring 2009
Lorenzo thinks she knocked it out of the park. Tom is scared of her arms.

Marion Cotillard attends the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Elie Saab Fall 2008
Gorgeous. This is the first pretty much flawless after-party look we've seen.

Marisa Tomei attends the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Juan Carlos Obando Spring 2009
It's an interesting dress in both versions, but we have to say we like it a lot better without the color blocking.

Sharon Stone attends the 17th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party in Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2009
Hello, nipples! And howyadoin there, hips? It's like a salute to Sharon Stone's body! In dress form! This ain't flattering at all. The distinct whiff of desperation doesn't help.

Taraji P. Henson attends the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Nina Ricci Spring 2009
Mmm. No. This is a clunker considering what she was wearing earlier in the night. It's just a little to twee and adorable.

Honestly, she is the ONLY woman who could pull off this dress. It's a bit much, but that's Posh for ya.
