BEST. EPISODE. EVER.

"Ma'am, can you tell us which one of these men stole your purse?"

CONGRATULATIONS TAB!! You GO, scary girl!

Hello word, here's a song that we're singin'
C'mon get happy!

Some of the cuts on the men were SCARY-looking. Half of them came out looking like they were wearing toupees, but not our girl's. She did a fabulous job. Yes, little California garage band boy, you just might get a girlfriend now.

And how deliciously comforting to know that she's a girl after our own hearts. When you win, darlings, revel in it. Love it. Roll around in that feeling like a hooker on a heart-shaped bed. She CLEARLY enjoyed handing out the hair assignments.

Which brings us to our next point. DAMN, this show has good challenges. No offense to anyone in the hair industry, but we had serious doubts that this show would be all that interesting to watch. To our delight, they really manage to shake things up and add drama that's fun and bitchy, instead of too exploitive or even nasty, the way some other shows get.

This was just a fun setup, with one of those challenges that's tailor-made for the average viewer. Even if you don't know much about hair styling, you can't help but have opinions about the entries.

Although we've been watching so many musicals lately,we half-expected the wigstands to go into a medley of era-appropriate musical numbers after they flipped over the cards.

Producers? Next season. Trust us on this. We smell Emmy.

Plus, we just love that each round comes with its own advantage for the winner. It gives the competitors more of an incentive to do their best, instead of just doing enough to stay in the game. We laughed our asses off when she handed the Elizabethan box to Tyson, but honeys, it wouldn't be a rivalry if they weren't evenly paired and the editing gave away the win too early.

Congrats to Tyson as well. He's getting the "creepy" edit - and we'll admit, we love it - but he has to be commended for taking a situation that would have left a lot of other people either floundering or lashing out in a spectacular meltdown and really stepping up.

Tabs honey, we loveya, but don't give a talented rival the opportunity to blow the judges away by assigning him a near-impossible task. That's just waving a red flag to a bull.

We think the end result is a little sloppy-looking, but the fact that it was the most difficult and it only took him two hours to do is probably what gave him the win. It really was a spectacular job.

It sucks that Danna was let go. She was really starting to grow on us. Not just for her talent and willingness to be photographed without makeup, but because she was getting more entertaining with each episode. On the other hand, we couldn't argue with the judges' decision.

I'm so glad we had this time together
Just to have a laugh or sing a song...

Ouch. Sure, it's '40s. You can see it in every movie from back then. She was the bank president's secretary, the house mother, the haughty society matriarch, the wise-cracking sidekick. In other words, the ugly one. Baaad choice, even if it was well-executed. Sorry, girl!
