Separates That Should've Been Separated
Congrats, Holly's mom! We knew someone in this crowd would win the Pushy Mother Award and guess what? It's you!
"Just ignore her."
And thus is summed up every mother-daughter relationship since the beginning of time.
Unfortunately, Judy Noodles did not do enough ignoring. If this had been sent down the runway with no indication of who the designer was, we doubt anyone would have been able to figure it out.
It's not just that it's noodle-free; it's that it looks nothing like Leanne's style at all.
If each piece had been paired with a different piece, you might have two cute outfits. At first we thought the jacket was kind of ugly but actually, it would be pretty cute paired with a more casual outfit, like a pair of jeans.
Ah, there's the noodlery. Leanne honey, never hide your light under a bushel and never hide your noodles where no one can see them.
It really is kind of sharp, isn't it? It's just too boxy for that dress and the colors are too drab.
The dress itself?
Cute, but that's about it.
Nothing really award-winning about the design. Just a very basic dress in a somewhat dull color scheme.
Stick to your guns, Leanne. You've proven many times over that when you follow your own muse, you turn out some pretty innovative looks. Ignore the Holly's Moms of the world and do what you know.
And since bizarre jacket-dress pairings have been something of a theme this season...
Let's move on to Korto.
The dress is cute but let's face it: the fabric is doing all the work. It's just a basic wrap dress. Two things: one: we think that hem is a bit too short for a professional look and two: that belt is completely unnecessary.
The dress looked much better (and more flattering) without it.
She could have banged out a dress like that in her sleep, so it seems to us like she blew her design wad on that jacket, which is pretty damn sharp, we have to say.
The seams create a very flattering effect on the body and we like the keyhole neckline at the top.
But to be honest, the jacket looks better when it's worn open. And just like Leanne's it would look even better if it was paired with another outfit.
