The Shiniest Shelley O Yet (Updated)

Darlings, put your sunglasses on. We've got two to tackle today.

Oh dear.

People have a tendency to get a little bent out of shape if we criticize her too much, but honeys, every single consistent criticism we've made of her since she entered the public eye is embodied in this one look.

When she nails it, she really nails it. But when she doesn't nail it, she always makes the same mistakes every time.

To wit: too matchy-match (in fact, everything is EXACTLY THE SAME COLOR); there's no consideration for her figure and what silhouettes work for her(in fact, this is boxy and shapeless with the coat on); SHE'S WEARING A CARDIGAN. WHILE HER HUSBAND ACCEPTS THE NOBEL. Honey, if there's ever a time to pull it together, now would be that time. The only thing she managed to miss this time was the boob belt. We give her credit (as always) for taking risks and for having an eye, but she still hasn't learned about fit and proportion, not to mention styling.

As simple and almost prom-like as this dress is, it really works for her; in the color, the proportions, and most of all, the simplicity, which she tends to wear well.

And we love the placement of the straps. Very flattering on her.

But for all our bitching and moaning about her many fashion missteps, we see her in something like this:

... and we can't help but bow down. She is the First Lady. And she's wearing THAT. That's just awesome.
