H&M unveiled its Spring 2010 lookbooks and the men's line features skirts to go along with the blazers, harem pants, long scarves, and other forms of H&M male frippery.
H&M Spring 2010 Collection
Our response is a shrug and a "whatever makes your skirt fly up." It's never been our thing but if you're dying to show off your calves, have at it. What amuses us is that once a decade, someone tries to sell skirts to men and every time they act like they invented the idea. Admittedly, H&M is probably as far into the mainstream as the idea ever got, but we still don't see it expanding past the closets of fashionistas.
Comme des Garçons Fall 2009 Collection
Call us limited in our thinking if you like, but except for the occasional kilt, this has never been a look we've responded well to. It's just not our thing and despite the fevered efforts of others to make it so, it's never really going to a be a thing any time soon. But hey, have fun with it, we say. If you have a burning need to feel the subway breeze on your panties while you walk down the street, then you're just the boy for these looks.
