We tried to come up with a clever post title, but that one really works for some reason.
Okay, Likes:
Super-cute! It clearly hearkens back to the original look but updates it for now. It's not a cut for every girl and to be honest, we're not sure if it's the right cut for this girl, but it's a really sassy 'do. Can't you see someone like, say Halle Berry rocking a cut like this? We think Parker may be one to watch.
It almost works. A little more time spent on it and she could have ironed out the bumps. We're not sure what she was going for with that stripe effect, but we admit we were a bit intrigued by it. What works is that it looks very much like the inspiration, yet it's wearable and pretty. Not perfect, but pretty good.
Nekisa: "I like to call these learning experiences."
Wigstand: "Yeah? I like to call that my HAIR, bitch!"
Considering both the client and the inspiration were a little difficult, we think Nicole did a bangup job here. It would be near-impossible to do a Jem cut that isn't at least a little '8os retro, but she managed a fairly clean look that, if you took the colors out of it, would be flattering and appropriate for her client.
Nicole: "We're going to go red!"
Wigstand: "I'm OK with like, like anything that like when I leave here it looks subtle."
Nicole: "It's Jem and the fucking Holograms, bitch. Did you think she was a former First Lady or something?"
Dislike Time!
Holy shit.
We'll grant you that both Marge Simpson 'dos were pretty fucked up, but this one had the extra added benefit of being fucked up AND not looking anything like a Marge 'do. Whoever said Peg Bundy pretty much nailed it, although drag queen works too.
It takes real talent to make real hair look like a bad wig.
And now, a salute to Rene's bodyparts. Last year it was his ass, but this year, he wisely decided to make it all about his nipples:
Rene darling, they look a little irritated. Perhaps a band-aid over each one to prevent chafing?
That studio must have been freezing!
