2009 SAG Awards - Part 2
Angelina Jolie in Max Azria Spring 2009
Honey, you can flip it around and wear it backwards if you want. It's still a shapeless mess. What's up her ass lately? Is this like a "serious actress" kind of thing? Or is it a "I'm a humanitarian, so I can't look too good" kind of thing? Audrey Hepburn managed to look pretty good traveling the world to hug starving children for photo ops. Bitch can't even put any effort into a red carpet appearance? Pfft.
Viola Davis in David Meister Spring 2009
Simple and classic. She looks beautiful.
And yes, we're saying that about a Wilma dress. Sometimes, you just have to accept the trends.
Tina Fey in Brian Reyes
The hell...?
Honey, this isn't your 8th grade dance. Let's leave the stiff, shapeless dresses for the awkward tween years, shall we?
Taraji P. Henson in Hervé L. Leroux
She looks stunning. She gets a pass from us for wearing white because dark-skinned women look so good in it.
Perrey Reeves in Monique Lhuillier Spring 2009
This is a beautiful dress. The detail on the bottom is feminine and pretty and the metallic belt really sets it off. It's not the best dress to be photographed in because the color comes off a little drab but it still looks beautiful.
Sally Field in Alberta Ferretti
Oh, Gidget. No, honey. Just no. We don't know what the hell the deal is with the frayed edges, but couple that with the droopy-boob bust and all that business in the skirt and Sister Bertrille here looks a mess.
Olivia Wilde in Ralph Lauren Spring 2009
It's a beautifully constructed gown - we love the detail at the waist - but we can't help thinking a little bit of color would have made the details photograph better.
Penelope Cruz in Azzedine Alaia
Enh. It looks so heavy and funereal. Like a sexy Morticia gown.
Jane Krakowski in Roberto Cavalli Resort 2009 [Modified version]
It's not that we loved the print at the bottom, but why pick this dress if you're going to take away the only thing that made it interesting? And hello, boobs!
Claire Danes in Nina Ricci
It was pretty when it moved. It had a nice airy, floaty quality to it. Aside from that, it's a little dull.
Holly Hunter in Reem Acra Spring 2009
Man, that is some heavily ironed hair. It looks like she used spray starch on it. The dress, on the other hand, is gorgeous. The color looked fantastic on her.
Anne Hathaway in Azzaro
Hate the hair but love the dress. Very '30s Hollywood.
Christina Hendricks in Carolina Herrera
She got a lot of criticism for this dress but frankly, it's the best thing we've seen her in in a while. Red may not have been the best pick for her coloring, but it fits her well and shows off her ample curves. Her hair, though... that's just all wrong.
Eva Longoria in Jenny Packham Spring 2009
The color looks pretty on her and we almost like the jeweled collar (except for the visible illusion netting). The skirt is just too busy and messy, though.
America Ferrera in Vera Wang
We're torn. We think the black sash is distracting but we have to admit, without it, this dress would be practically invisible. It's a great silhouette for her, though.
Amy Adams in Giambattista Valli
That color looks gorgeous on her and the dress would be almost perfect if it weren't for that massive poof in the front. Also, it looks like she might have spent the night yanking on the top to keep the girls covered.
