Project Vincent

"Mutiny Pictures (www.MutinyPictures.net), a Los Angeles-based film company specializing in online branded entertainment and webisode production, has announced a partnership with Project Runway alum Vincent Libretti.

"This project (working title "Project Vincent") represents the perfect branded entertainment opportunity in a credible, new media style," remarked Michael Pierce, CEO & Founder of Mutiny Pictures. "Fashionistas and fans across the globe know the Vincent Libretti name, but not necessarily the full scope of his personality, passion points and ultimately what drives him. 'Project Vincent' will showcase a variety of people and will include celebs as well as everyday people."

Added Libretti: "The beauty of working with non-traditional mediums such as the internet is that it provides a more natural and less-contrived environment for branded
entertainment. Audiences are going to see me, passionate and raw, without creative restrictions and connecting in a way that traditional broadcast TV doesn't allow. I am looking forward to working with companies that share my passion for fashion and overall vision for the project."

The 20 Worst PR Looks of All Time - Part 3

Number 10

Season 2 - Episode 2: "Clothes Off Your Back"
Designer: Zulema Griffin

Many of the looks in this list are here because the designer either had a momentary brain fart or they don't work well in reality television or maybe because they're just not a very good designer. This horrific ass-exposing mess from S2's Zulema doesn't really fit any of those criteria. We still maintain that if she could have just figured out how to utilize her time and materials better, this wouldn't have been all that offensive.

Oh, why the hell are we being so nice? It's AWFUL.

Number 9

Season 2 - Episode 2: "Clothes Off Your Back"
Designer: Guadalupe Vidal

It's LUPE! LUPE'S back, everybody! Hi LUPE!

Honestly, at this point we feel the need to remind you to take the rankings with a grain of salt because even we look at this one and go "Why isn't this at the top of the list?" Even if we didn't deem this one the worst of the worst, it HAS to go down as one of, if not THE most ridiculous outfits seen on the show. It's like a spastic party favor of some sort. Actually. that's not a dress; it's a walking tutorial on sewing techniques.

Number 8

Season 1 - Episode 2: "Vision"
Designer: Starr Ilzhoefer

Ahh, the "tumor" dress. Who doesn't have fond memories of this one? Tasked with designing something that illustrates her vision, S1's Starr instead decided to send down a sartorial anatomy lesson. Who in their right mind thinks of tumors when they're designing a dress?

Number 7

Season 3 - Episode 6: "Waste Not, Want Not"
Designer: Kayne Gillaspie

S3's Kaynebow was a fan favorite and with good reason. When he was on, he was entertaining and creative and talented but when he crashed and burned, honeys, it was epic. What moves this out of the realm of pure tragedy and into high comedy is the little bow tied around her neck. It's like putting a cherry on top of a shitpile and calling it a sundae.

Number 6

Season 3 - Episode 1: "Innovation"
Designer: Vincent Libretti

We were watching some S3 last night and it really struck us just how crazy and delusional Vincent really was. How could we ever have forgotten? In his very first appearance on the show he put a basket on his model's head and acted like he just invented couture.

If we ever do a list of Top Ten Most Pissed Off Models, Lindsay here is gonna top the list. She looks like she wants to cut the first person who says something to her.

V & A : Second Verse, Same as the First

DRAMA!

DRAMA!

DRAMA!

DRAMA!

DRAMA!

DRAMA!

Soap opera.

In a perfect world, after downing that flute (and it ain't the first flute he's downed if you know what we're saying), he would have boozily drawled "Well, how would you like it if I told the board of directors you were IMPOTENT!?" and then thrown back his head, laughed, smashed it into the blazing fireplace, and stood there waiting to be slapped.

Or maybe that's just us.

What's not to love about this episode? Sure, we could expound on the unfairness of it but who doesn't love some good old-fashioned American manufactured drama?

"Hey guys! Howyadoi-- "

"Whoa! EARTH IS SWALLOWING ME AGAIN! EARTH IS SWALLOWING ME AGAIN!"

"Just steps. I'm safe. I'm okay. haha. Who knew?"

"Hey guys! I'm touching a supermodel! HAHAHAHAHA"

Look, did anyone seriously consider them a credible threat to the status quo? They were always weak contenders and bringing them back like this meant they were off their game going into it.

As for the dresses...what is there to say, really?

"Edwardian," Angela?

Only if you follow it with "Scissorhandian."

Call us crazy, but when your model bows her head and silently weeps, there may be something wrong with the dress.

"I thoughtfully included these...um...handkerchiefs for when the shame of what you're wearing in public overwhelms you."

And Vincent's?

Early '90s, Pretty Woman, Robert Palmer video redux. The end.

Y'know, we could bitch and moan about the unnecessary drama of bringing these two back, but we got to hear Heidi say the magic words "Vincent, you're out." for the second week in a row, and that's just good television as far as we're concerned. If PR season 4 consisted of nothing but the judges kicking Vincent off the runway for 16 solid episodes, we're looking at a surefire ratings winner.

Vincent: One last, loving look back.

"You are the most sensational-looking woman on this boat who's still talking to me. Of course I'm a little crazy."

"Mon Dieu! My very womb just recoiled!"

Vincent: It gets me auf.

YES! YES! YES!
Oh God, we need a cigarette. That was just too satisfying for words. Captain Haldol's auf'ing (Dare we say it? We dare! We dare!) TOTALLY got us off. We watched the show with two friends last night and all four of us jumped out of our seats and cheered.

What made this doubly satisfying was the fact that Vincent was getting really full of himself for absolutely no reason. We don't think there was ever a designer on the show who demonstrated such powerful self-delusion. He walked around proclaiming his couture skills holding a bottle of glue, for God's sake.

One thing we really don't get is how the judges rarely ever pointed out the elephant in the room: ALL of Vincent's garments were poorly fitted. Every single one. It's like he specialized in puckered seams.

When our girl Nina said it looked like the dress was on her backwards, she hit the nail on the head. The sleeves were ugly and pointless, the bunnytail on her ass looked ridiculous and that fabric he used for the skirt was ugly and way too heavy. She looks like a little girl playing dressup in an upholstery store.

"Mommy, look! I made a skirt!"

"Unh-hunh. That's nice, honey. Now go put that back in the clearance bin while I talk to this nice man about the couch."

Edited to add: You guys have got to read this interview he gave for Entertainment Weekly. We are speechless!

Read it here.

Mr. Crankypants.

What was up HIS ass this week? He won the last challenge and then he flew first class to Paris and yet he was moody as hell.

That last one is a little scary. If we were Nina, we'd start carrying pepper spray in our purse. And when we say "pepper spray," we mean "a gun."

Okay, let's talk about the outfit.

Jesus, cheer up, Moody McLithium!

Anyway, we weren't as annoyed by this outfit as some people were. When Vincent was describing what a "jetsetter" looks for in clothing (it needs to travel well), it all clicked for us. Vincent doesn't approach a challenge from a design point of view; he approaches it from a potential retail point of view. It seems like every challenge he undertook started with the question "How do I get this on the rack at Barney's?" And hey, that's a completely valid (if pedestrian) way of approaching fashion, but as the Duchess reminded him, this is a design competition. There wasn't much designing going on here. He basically made the exact same pants he was wearing, just in black. And the top couldn't have been less interesting. Plus, it didn't fit him well.

And would it have killed him to suck in the gut while he was on the runway?

Our mud masks cracked in shock.

Oh, there was much distress at Chez PRGay last night. Wine glasses were thrown, high-pitched wailing was heard, and garments were rended. Okay, not so much on the rending of garments.

There is no joy in Gayville, Crazy Vincent's still not out.

Worse than that, the barking loon won it this time.

Pardon us, but this thing is kind of ugly. The collar is pure Carol Brady and he managed to take a highly attractive, mature woman with a great figure and make her look dumpy and shapeless.

It certainly wasn't the worst thing on the runway last night and it's certainly the best thing he's made all season, but there was a clear winner last night and it wasn't Captain Haldol.

Her breasts look like they're about to take off and fly south for the winter.

"America! Is crazy country, ja? Meine titsen flappity-flap!"

Vincent: When I think about this dress I touch myself.

Oh, what the fuck is he still doing here? That...thing was so godawful "art school project, circa 1986" he should be embarrassed. "Avant gawde," Vincent? Puh. Leeze. If you'd slathered her in glue and thrown her in a dumpster, you would have gotten exactly the same effect.

As disturbing as this garment was, it didn't come close to the discomfort we felt when you expressed your deep and abiding love for it. For the record, what exactly did you use to stick all that paper on her? Just asking.

He is totally giving himself the subtle "press down" there. Disgusting.

"I see that come out and it turns me on. It's what matters. It is bizarre and that's what I like. It rubs the lotion on its skin. It does this whenever it's told. It's awtsy, very awtsy."

"I'm gonna hurl."

What. The. FUCK.

We're speechless here. Literally. There's simply nothing we could say about Vincent that can top this one.

Fair warning, though: this ain't exactly safe for work. You're gonna see more of Vincent than you ever wanted to.

Note: The video is no longer available on YouTube.

Vincent gets pissy.

"Ew, you pissed your pants!
You need to step back, bitch!"

"You're gonna have to move three feet away from me.
Please. Please."

Vincent's poor model Lindsay

I mean, really. What was he thinking?
Did he staple gummy bears to that thing?

The look on her face totally says "humor the crazy."
She looks like she got the strap next to the guy
on the subway with no teeth and a homemade tinfoil cap.
We think she must have had psychiatric training.
I mean, how else would you put up with that?

"What the fuck! I couldn't get one of the fags?"

She's about ready to blow any second.

"What the fuck is that on her head?"

"Can we see it without the freaking basket? Do you mind?"

"No I do--"zip!

Bitch couldn't get that thing off fast enough.
We're surprised she didn't throw it over her shoulder.
