Atelier Versace Spring 2009

Darlings, there just isn't enough pretty on this blog (besides us). Let's end the week with some eye candy, shall we?

Instead of just presenting a collection, we thought it would be interesting to show the original sketches with their notes alongside the finished product. Lorenzo is obsessed with fashion sketches and if Tom didn't put his foot down, the walls of our home would be overrun with them. When he looks at these sketches Lorenzo is reminded of Loïc Prigent's fabulous documentary
Signé Chanel, which traces the evolution of the Chanel fall 2004 haute couture collection from sketches by Karl Lagerfeld right through the fashion show and selling to customers, specifically the scenes where the seamtresses struggle to read his notes and realize the designer's vision.

Enjoy!
