The Duchess and Shelley O
In the official portrait of Michelle Obama, the first lady wears a sleeveless dress from Michael Kors' Spring 2009 collection. It's a black version of the blue dress in double-bonded crepe jersey that was shown in the collection.
This is the first time she's worn a dress by The Duchess and we have to say, she should wear him more often. She looks spectacular.
Heidi wore the same dress at the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Hedda Lettuce and Mr. Gunn
Tim Gunn and Hedda Lettuce attend the 21st annual Bailey House auction and party at Roseland Ballroom in New York City.
This is what Hedda Lettuce wrote on her site about running into Tim Gunn:
"I had the pleasure of running into Mr. Gunn and I found out he terribly dislikes being called Mr. Gunn. You see, when I meet a celebrity, I never use their first name; I think it’s rude. I always say: “Hello Miss. Ciccone” or “how do you do Miss Knowles.” Well, I did the same thing with Tim. “Hello Mr. Gunn.” At which point he said to me, “Would you please call me Tim, you make me sound like my father.” “I am so sorry Tim,” I earnestly replied. “I did not mean to offend you. I did it as a matter of respect.” Which stopped him dead in his tracks and this little crooked smile broke out upon his face. A smile that said, “Yes you are right. I do deserve respect.” He than said to me, “Why, thank you.” And went off on his way. He never did apologize for calling me mean when I was on Project Runway but I will forgive him for his poor manners."

Kittens, let's talk Debbie. But before we do, we're going to take a sip of our coffee and reflect.
The reason fashion bitches like us always have something to say about Debbie, it's because she, like our other favorite topic, Sarah Jessica, always tries her damnedest to put something interesting on her back before she walks out the door. No simple high-end prom dresses for our girl. She wants to make a statement, dammit. And strong statements just beg for responses, don't they?
In other words, we bitch because we love. So let's bitch.

Bottega Veneta Spring 2009 Collection
Model: Arlenis Sosa
After the event, she went to her nightshift job of slaughtering cows.
She kind of looks like a big purse, doesn't she? We're going to have to give this one a big OUT. Leather dresses are notoriously hard to pull off, which is why 90% of the time, it's just not a good idea. This is too baggy and too long and just unflattering in every way. And she needs to stop wearing clothes that match her hair.
We joke because we love, Debbie!
Now let's move on to more Debbie goodness. She was the host of the 11th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards and in the spirit of the event, went through 4 costume changes. Let's go to the tape.
Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2008
Must keep reminding ourselves "It's a costume event, it's a costume event." Which is only fair. Why judge her clothes as if they were, y'know...clothes? These are costumes and they're meant to be dramatic.
Having said that, kudos on bringing the drama, but we don't really like it. It's attention-getting for sure, but we can't really say it's pretty. Hair and makeup look good. That "necklace" is an abomination, though.
Elie Saab Spring 2008 Couture
It's a beautiful dress and the hair, makeup and jewelry all look fab. But here's the thing: if you're wearing some kind of one-of-a-kind dress that can't be altered to fit you correctly and you wind up looking like you're standing in a hole, here's a bit of advice: DON'T WEAR THE DRESS.
Zuhair Murad Fall 2008 Couture
It's alright. We don't love it. The color is a little puke-y and the dress illustrates that there really is such a thing as too much texture. But what really chaps our thighs are the earrings and tiara. We just don't get them with this dress. More accurately, we really don't get them with each other. Either the big medallion earrings OR the tiara, but not both, honey. That's just vulgar.
And pick a clutch that we can actually see against the dress next time.
Giambattista Valli Spring 2009
Oh, what the hell. It's cute. We'd hate to see her at a movie premiere dressed like this, but for this kind of event? It's fun. There appear to be some fit issues in the bust and that skirt is perhaps a skosh too starched, but we can go with it. Love the shoes, likenotlove the costume jewelry (although we kinda hate that the earrings match the broach exactly.)
There. Now we've given you plenty to talk about. Get to work, bitches.
