Leanne Marshall Spring 2010 Collection

It's noodle-free! (Well, mostly.)

T Lo fave Judy Noodles showed her Spring '10 collection and here's what she told us about it:

The collection was inspired by the font Basic Math by WhiteLabel, and also another graphic design image called "Make Luck," which is so perfectly nerdy and utterly Leanne. She started out by taking each letter of the font, cutting them out in the fabrics and draping them and folding them to be non-recognizable as letters. She never made it through the entire alphabet as she had wanted to originally, because some letters were "way better" than others. Everything was made of eco-friendly fabrics. All the colors were hand-dyed by Leanne. The first part of the collection is about more of a buttoned up, but edgier girl; the second half is about a girl who is much softer and ethereal-looking. Again, how perfectly Leanne.

We like it a lot. It's definitely got Leanne written all over it yet it stands on its own, separate from her previous work. She's definitely an innovative and forward-thinking designer whose personal evolution shines through in each piece.

Among the attendees were Kevin Christiana, Suede (who showed up with flowers for Leanne), Jack Mackenroth, and Korto Momolu (click here to see pictures).
