Darlings, as you may or may not remember, T Lo saw the Sex and the City movie and for the most part, didn't love it. Our opinion of it only worsened with subsequent cable viewings. Nonetheless, it made a shit ton of money so a sequel was inevitable. Cue the oh-so-original jokes from a million bloggers and entertainment writers about how old all the characters are to be having sex; jokes that strangely, no one makes when male actors of the same age set are held out as sex symbols with leading ladies half their age.
Anyway, the shooting of the sequel is under way in the streets of New York and the iconic Carrie Bradshaw has returned. They better get one thing right: if they attempt another ill-advised labels-and-money-based conspicuous consumption tale like the last one, it's gonna tank. People aren't going to spend their hard-earned money in this economy to watch a bunch of fictional characters over spend to excess. That kind of fantasy worked in the 1930s but we doubt it will fly today.
From the few pics released, it looks at least like costumer Pat Field toned down Carrie's look somewhat. Take a look:
