It's a decent effort. We think it won by default just because the other pages were lamer.
For a page that's all about color, it's awfully muted, though.
And the judges rightfully pointed out that it was a mistake to have a huge block of gray in a "color" trend page.
They styled things well but our issue with it is that it's just so damn busy. Then again, that's kind of the Elle style.

The judges loved this page but we kind of hated it.
First off, "Pretty n' Punk" is a stupid title. Secondly, there's nothing "punk" about this page. Third, none of the items on the page seem to have anything to do with the mother/daughter outfits. And while we like the items on the page individually, a whole page done in neutrals is kind of bland, especially when you're using the term "punk" to describe it.
And finally, no shopping credits. As Anne pointed out, it's the only reason why Elle exists - to get people to buy things. Why then, was no one sent home for violating this cardinal rule? Oh, that's right. Producer manipulation.
Feh. Best to just sit back and watch students act like jackasses. It's not like this show is going to teach you anything about the fashion industry.
