Where are our stylish bitches?

Darlings, calm yourselves. We have something to tell you that might make you a little excitable. Are you sitting? Of course you're sitting. Who reads a blog standing up?

We have been granted the opportunity to give away tickets to the Project Runway Finale Runway Show in Bryant Park on February 20th, at 9 am.

You all want to be our best friends right now, don't you? Now, it's a little weird to be going to a runway show when we don't know where or when the actual season is going to air, but think of it this way: you'll be in the tents with Heidi, Michael, Nina, and Tim, plus any other PR alums who show up. Won't that be fun?

Here's the thing: we have a block of tickets to give away. This is going to be on a first come-first served basis. If you are ABSOLUTELY SURE you can be in Manhattan on the morning of the 20th, then drop us a line at tomandlorenzo@gmail.com with your name and address.

BUT

PLEASE do not drop us a line unless you are 100 PERCENT SURE that you can make it. It's going to make us look bad to the nice people who gave us this opportunity if there are empty seats, and besides, you'd be taking away the opportunity from someone else who CAN be there.

Please, kittens. Only if you know you can make it. ONE TICKET PER PERSON.

EDIT: Okay, STOP! Darling, our inbox is groaning under the strain. Sorry to say, but time's up on this one. If you were one of the lucky few to get in on time, we will contact you this weekend.

THERE ARE NO MORE TICKETS LEFT.

Virgins v. Vixens

Darlings, we heard you the first 50 times! We're so sorry it took so long to get back to our V v. V match. Forgive us?

Besides, most of you should be quite happy to hear that...

MAMIE VAN DOREN IS DEAD.

You bitches were having none of it. According to y'all, she couldn't hold a candle to our Gallic gamine. In fact, some of the comments were surprisingly vitriolic. Can't a cheap ho get a little loving around here?

You'll be happy to know your popular poodle is back in the game this week and this time, she's going up against another continental babe. Someone's going to be singing at the end of this one, bitches. It's up to you whether that song is La Marseillais or O, Solo Mio, as

Mlle. LESLIE CARON

takes on

Signorina GINA LOLLOBRIGIDA

First up, Leslie's so sweet, she'll give you a toothache in 1953's Lili:

And Mama Mia! Gina parades around in a gorgeous dress (before ripping it off) in 1958's Fast and Sexy:

Trends for Spring '09: Bangles

There's something about a big, bold, bangle that says "fun" to us. We don't know why that is, but if bangles make a statement, then to us, it's saying "I have style AND I know how to have fun with it."

It's not as if bangles ever really went away, so perhaps it's a bit of a misnomer to call them a "trend." Still, the runways seem to be loaded with them more than ever. Designers fall in and out of love with various style elements and right now, they're back in love with the bangle. And because we're talking runway, we're talking big and bold and maybe a little impractical. Most women wouldn't wear so many of these at once, but they make for a great, dramatic look when you're sashaying past a bunch of bitchy fashion editors.

As for which of these get the thumbs up from us...well, all of them do. Maybe we're just feeling the love today but we have not one bitchy thing to say about any of these. We think they're great.

Lost: Season 5 Episode 3: Jughead

Man, this show is just rocketing along, dropping little bombshells along the way.

♦ Did anyone else shout "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" at their TV when the cute British soldier was revealed to be none other than a young Charles Widmore? Or was that just us? By the way, we think old Charles Widmore is kind of a hot daddy, but young Charles Widmore... Me.Ow.

♦ Similarly, did anyone else gasp when the bitchy British female soldier was called "Ellie" by Richard Alpert? Because Mrs. Hawkings' first name is Eloise and Daniel said she reminded him of someone...DANIEL WAS BEING HELD AT GUNPOINT BY HIS OWN MOTHER FIFTY YEARS IN THE PAST. Our heads hurt.

♦ Does this mean that Charles is Daniel's father? All signs point to "yes." He funded his research for ten years and he was able to whip out Mrs. Hawkings' address for Desmond without even thinking about it. But if he's Daniel's father, that means he basically sent him on a suicide mission when he let him get on that freighter; right? We knew he was a bastard but we didn't know he was THAT much of a bastard.

♦ Little Charlie Hume! How freaking sweet is that? Of course, he has the same first name as his grandfather and with all the time-leaping and mystery parentage in this show, that's led some others online to make some squicky suppositions, but we're not going there.

♦ Oh man, Penny's a goner, isn't she? They're heading to L.A.; Ben's in L.A.; Ben vowed to kill Charles' daughter...this ain't looking good for Lost's star-crossed lovers. We're not even all that crazy about Penny but we would be deeply upset if these two don't get their happy ending. And speaking of goners...

♦ It's not looking good for Charlotte. Once Daniel admitted his love for her, the writing was on the wall. We hope she makes it. We hated her when she first showed up but we like her more and more with each episode. And speaking of characters we formerly hated but now love...

♦ GO JULIET! The survivors are damn lucky she's still on the island, what with her medical training and intimate knowledge of The Others. How cool was it when she started speaking Latin to the soldiers? And speaking of Juliet...

♦ It's kind of cool how Sawyer and Juliet are now the blonde, alternate-universe version of Jack and Kate. They're clearly in charge, they're clearly getting a little hot for each other (their glances are getting deeper and more longing with each episode) and one's a doctor and one's a criminal.

♦ Man, Juliet's got a history of taking another woman's sloppy seconds, doesn't she?

♦ So is "Jughead" what was buried behind the concrete in the Swan station? If it was, how could the island have survived once Desmond blew it up?

♦ Wait...so, Locke actually sent Richard Alpert to check up on him when he was born? Our heads hurt.

Did we miss anything? Add your own bullet points!

Make Me A Supermodel Season 2: Meet Sandhurst

Sandhurst, 22
Hometown: Tobago. Resides in Philadelphia, Pa.

Sandhurst was born and raised on the small island of Tobago, in the south Caribbean, where the entire community encouraged him to pursue modeling. Sandhurst spent his later teen years in Fort Lauderdale, Fla, before relocating to Philadelphia to attend Temple University and major in Public Relations. He was picked out of a crowd during Trinidad and Tobago's inaugural Fashion week, and asked to walk in a runway show, which kick-started his career in the world of modeling. Brooke Shields: In or Out

Class, today's lesson in style will be about two of Tim Gunn's favorite words: fit and proportion. Grab your notebooks and follow me. We're going on a field trip.

Brooke Shields attends the unveiling of the 2nd annual Godiva Decadence Suite at the Bryant Park Hotel in New York City.

Jill Stuart Fall 2008
Model: Alana Zimmer

Now, before we say anything else, we must let you know that we don't like this dress on either the model or Ms. Shields. However, we can at least admit that the dress fits the model correctly and more or less works for her figure.

Unfortunately, we can't say the same about our Miss Brooke. She's been candid in the past about her thick-waistedness, so it comes as a surprise that she would go out wearing a dress that might as well have "LOOK AT MY THICK WAIST" emblazoned across the front.

And before anyone screams and yells at us, yes, we realize that quite a few women would love to have the problem of walking around in Brooke Shields' deeply flawed, thick-waisted body. The point isn't that she's not flawless or that she's got so much else going on in the genetic sweepstakes that her supposed "flaw" doesn't amount to much. The point is, even when one has a minor body flaw, one should know how to dress to, in Tim's words, "mitigate" it.

Please turn to the next page in your text books.

Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2009
Model: Raquel Zimmermann

Thick waist? What thick waist? See the difference when one takes fit and proportion into account? On a strictly style level, it's a somewhat bland little frock, but because it works for her figure it's miles ahead of the previous dress.

So, one OUT and one IN for Brooke. Although we have to admit, her hair and makeup are atrocious in the second pic, but we've been cruel enough for one day, so we'll let that slide.

Class dismissed.

Project Runway Canada: Three Out Already?

"The second season of Project Runway Canada began with a shock – two shocks, actually. Before the first challenge was even over, both Danio Frangella and Jaclyn Murray dropped out of the competition; Jaclyn suffered a severe panic attack and had to be hospitalized while Danio developed cysts on his legs related to a recent bout with cancer."

Danio Frangella, 33 LaSalle, Ont.

"What have I taken away from Project Runway Canada?

I would have to say a sense of pride, as I am very proud to have had the opportunity to be selected and compete against a fine group of talented designers. I am also very proud to have come home and really feel a sense of Canadianism that I have been away from for a long time, having worked overseas. I have learned to be human and listen to my body rather than try to be impossibly strong and discovering that at times your will is greater than your physical strength and you must at times be humble."

Camille Prins, 28 Toronto, Ont.

"Why do you think the judges didn't like your outfit this week?

I read in a recent interview that one of the judges hates bubble dresses...But I don't regret my design. There will always be people on both sides of the fence...those who love it and those who hate it! As a designer, you just have to go with something that you feel confident putting out there!"

Jaclyn Murray, 26 Winnipeg, Man.

"Would you have done anything differently?

I would have arrived to do the show in better health.

Do you think you deserved to be sent home this week? If not, who should have?

My situation was really unexpected and it came at an unfortunate time; no one wants to be seen on television this way."

Trends for Spring '09: Statement Necklaces

Well, Korto and Malan (which sounds like a detective agency), got it right for their Spring 'o9 shows. We love both of these big clunky necklaces. Certainly, La Nina has a history of wearing them well. We're all for this trend, in theory. Unfortunately, we're in sharp disagreement about the following ones, all of which made recent runway appearances. So much so that Tom turned to Lorenzo upon viewing them and said "You're kidding, right?" According to Tom, most of what you're about to see ranges from ugly to ridiculous, but Lorenzo really likes them (most of them).

Like any accessory, it's all in how you wear it and how you pair it. As we said, we like clunky necklaces in theory. We just can't agree on these clunky necklaces. What say you, minions?
