In or Out: Daphne Guinness

Socialite, heiress and fashion icon Daphne Guinness attends the launch of NARS 15X15 a project to celebrate 15 years of NARS at Industria Superstudio in New York City.

Brace yourselves before you scroll down, kittens.

Ready?

You can't say we didn't warn you.

The last time we discussed her, she looked pretty damn fabulous and we loved the McQueen collection when we featured it, but honeys, sometimes the sum is worse than its parts.

In our opinion, you shouldn't go out head to toe in one designer ever, but especially not when it's a designer like Alexander McQueen. You need to edit and interpret, otherwise you'll come across, at best, somewhat lacking in personal style and at worse (like here), looking a little ridiculous. Either the dress or the shoes, darling. Not both.

And to be perfectly honest, while we love the shoes from a design perspective, we can't say they'll ever look good on anyone off a runway or a magazine page.

We love the dress, but combining it with the shoes, the belt (what's up with that?) and the insane Bride of Frankenstein hair and makeup is way too much look for one human being to pull off. OUT.
