And now, a word from Krystle Carrington.

"Blake, I have a 1:15 appointment to push Alexis into the fountain again, but before I do that I just wanted to remind everyone that the PRGayBoys will be watching Season 1, Episode 2: Envy, tonight and they will be blogging about it tomorrow. I'm very excited about this but because most of the nerves in my face have been snipped, I am unable to register my excitement."

Ripping the Runway

We would love to give each of these outfits more attention, but some of them are so boring we don't know what to say and Bravo did such a bad job of shooting them that we barely got to see them.

We will say that very few of the outfits are particularly wearable and most of the designers seemed to go for a more conceptual approach.

This dress is actually pretty cute, but she looks like she's being eaten by a giant plastic corsage. Oh, and we LOVE Martinique. She's (what else?) FABULOUS!

No. Just...no. It's ...uh...interesting? Actually, for what it is, it's well-executed and she did do a pretty good job on the styling.

Oh, come ON. She looks ridiculous. For all the scenes of designers frantically running around the workroom, none of these outfits look like they were actually sewn.

And what's with the rollers?

Okay, we're looking at the graphic and --- where are the "Jacks?" And what is the pink thing? Whatever it is, the look is a little unimaginative, but this was very well made.

We take it back. It's not unimaginative. It got more interesting the second she turned around. But what is all that stuff?

We tried so many ways to get a shot of this outfit but Bravo wouldn't cooperate. Could be that they shot it so fleetingly because Morgan is basically topless here. It looks interesting, though.

ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Oh, we can't be too mean. At least it's wearable and Alexandra's so cute how can we be mean to her?

Come on, we can't have been the only ones to think of this.

Up On The Roof

One of the great things about S1 (aside from the higher-than-normal levels of crazy) is that the designers and cast were far more likely to party on camera.

Everything was so raw this season, so the designers didn't all come into it with big ambitions the way later designers did. They just seemed to wander around, wide-eyed in front of the cameras, not quite sure how they were supposed to act. Plus, the median age was kind of low - a lot of the designers were under 30 and a handful of them were under 25.

"No, really. I'm straight."

Certainly, there was no small amount of tension, drama and scheming that eventually found its way into the competition, but this group really did have a camaraderie, a "summer camp" vibe that later groups didn't. We're not saying they all liked each other, but (with some notable exceptions) they didn't seem to have any problem getting along with each other.

And they knew how to have a good time.

Well, most of them, anyway.

Do you have any idea just how much we want to hang out and party on a Manhattan rooftop with a bunch of chainsmoking models doing a walk-off? Do you?

MELISSA! You fabulous teenage whore! We missed you.

And sorry girls, you're all good, but the minute Heidi entered that game, she owned it.

Super Mario

Oh, please.

It's certainly not ugly, but for crying out loud, Wendy put more work into her Candy Hooker outfit than Mario did for this thing.

Certainly, there's no rule that says fashion has to be complicated but we would think a design competition would frown upon simply tying a garment together on a model. Did he do any sewing at all? Or even any cutting, for that matter?

Call it a hunch, but we have a feeling this was the closest he'd been to a shower curtain in quite some time. We just want to get a napkin and blot him.

Morgan: Bringing the Crazy.

God, how we love her. There were excited claps in the PRGay living room when she reappeared on screen. Morgan darling, it's been far too long. How we have missed your unique brand of instability and raging irresponsibility.

Look at her. She may just be the greatest human being who ever lived. If you haven't watched S1 before, trust us, she only gets better.

"... on my HEAD!"

It's always drama when someone makes the veins on Tim's neck pop out.

Stern Daddy! Spank me -- I mean her! Spank her! Jesus, how tall is she? Because Tim's not short. He looks good in blue, though, doesn't he?

Meanwhile, drama levels reached such a high level that one of the designers was forced to walk the street, turning tricks. A whore for models.

Bet this stupid bitch regrets it now. You might have made it all the way to Olympus Fashion Week, dumb random girl!

This is starting to look like one of those Church of Latter Day Saints ads. "Mom? Why does God make me oversleep so my agency can drop me?"

Did anyone ever really buy Wendy's "Mom" crap? It struck us as contrived right from the get-go.

"Wendy, could you scoot over for a second?
I need to put my boot in this bitch's head."

Candy Girl

Admit it.

You hear the "Ri! Ri! Ri!" Psycho violins every time you look at her, don't you?

There is some major crazy going on under that warpaint because, let's face it, a perfectly stable person wouldn't even think of putting together something like this:

What the...? What is this, "Dance of the Sugarplum Hookers?" We're trying desperately to come up with a way to critique this outfit, but there's nothing there. She looks...uh...delicious? No, no...that's not the word. What are we thinking of? Oh, yes. Ridiculous. She looks frikkin ridiculous.

"Well Nina, my model is from Brazil, so that automatically made me think of candy and prostitutes." Yeah, because people who live in tropical climates just can't stop smearing sugar all over their bodies. Makes perfect sense. IF YOU'RE CRAZY.

Go, Nora!

This piece was FABULOUS. We loved it. We always considered it one of the more memorable, creative pieces ever seen on the show.

We even liked the back.

Hats off to Nora for having the vision to look at a lawn chair and reimagine it as a Mugleriffic power dress. The lookalike styling was perfect for it.

Lucky Starr

Is it us or does she look like a children's book character?

"Hello, children! Hello! My name is Bumble Bea and I'm here to take you through the magic land of the sugar plum fairies on the way to Santa's Village! Hold hands now - stop crying - hold hands and follow me!

Stop crying!"

In the immortal words of Tim, "Oh, Jesus." She is damn lucky she sent that down the runway on the very first challenge while the judges were in a forgiving mood, because that? Holy shit. Her model looks about ready to take her behind the runway and beat her to within an inch of her life.

"Haha! Shit, girl. I might look like a UPS package, but you look like an explosion in a Hallmark store."

"I'm gonna fucking kill this skinny little bitch."

*meep!*

Sayonara, Daniel!

Hey Daniel! We just saw your bliss get in a taxi heading for the airport! We think you should follow it!

To be fair, we didn't think he needed to go over this one. Yes, it was completely unimaginative, but it wasn't nearly the assault on the eyes that some of the other outfits were (Wendy and Starr, sit down. We'll get to you in a bit.)

k.d. lang called. She wants her head back.

Ugh, what a smacked ass. It's fine, maybe even necessary for a designer to have self-confidence, but his problem is he's so focussed on talking up his game that he's not concentrating on his plays. Shut up and take a look at what you're doing -- and stop dancing in front of the dress form. It's creepy on too many levels to name.

S1/E1: Congratulations Austin!

Darling, Mother Nature may not have cooperated, but this design was clearly a winner, shriveled up or not. Over 2 years later and PR fans still talk about the cornhusk dress. Bravo!

It's been so long so since we've watched this episode that we weren't even sure until the end if he was the winner. One thing that struck us is just how charming Austin was when he first appeared on the scene. Not that he isn't charming now, but he was a breath of fresh air and a flag-bearer for sissy boys everywhere. You go, you stylish girl!
