Cracker Your Wardrobe

Cracker Your Wardrobe is a style-on-the-street magazine based in Korea that features people from all over the world proudly displaying their fashion sense and personal style, similar to The Sartorialist:

Even though we spend the bulk of our time here discussing runway and red carpet looks, to our way of thinking, fashion is at its most interesting when worn by real people just getting through their day. That's part of what makes a city like New York such a fabulous destination for those who like to observe the trends. The bigger the city, the more likely you are to see real innovation and expression in the clothes that people wear.

Not everyone can do what these people do. Most of us either don't have the skills to interpret clothing or don't have the interest. Which is fine, we can't all be innovators, but let's salute those people who are. It would be easy and thought-free to simply look at these people and say "What freaks!" but they're what makes city life interesting and even though most of them won't admit it, the editors and stylists and designers that drive the industry look to the people on the street to tell them what they're going to do next.

We look at these pictures and one thing jumps out at us: every single one of these people are immensely proud of what they're wearing. They should be. It not only takes real thought and expression, it also takes a certain amount of bravery. They're not just putting on outfits, they're expressing their innermost self through their clothing. So let's raise our coffee mugs in salute to the fabulous fashion freaks out there. Here's to self-expression; here's to style; here's to being brave just by getting dressed and going out.
