Sequins and World Peace

Well, there won't be a new episode airing this week, so let's take a little trip down memory lane, shall we?

Like any good gays, we plunked ourselves down on the couch last night with a bottle of wine to eagerly watch the Miss America Pageant. During the too-funny-to-recap-here talent portion of the program, Miss Indiana, Nicole Elizabeth Rash, came out pretending that she didn't look like Whitey McBlanderson and sang in Spanish.

The flower in the hair really gives her that Latina look, si?

Actually, to be fair, she wasn't half bad - at least not compared to the chicky who tried to do Fosse. Oy, kittens. THAT one was painful to watch.

Anyway, at some point during her warbling and posing a little info box popped up on the screen that said "Miss Indiana's gown was designed by Johnathan Kayne of Project Runway."

DUH! How could we not have figured that out right away? Look at the corseting in the back.

Look familiar?

Sure, it's kind of a ticky-tacky dress, but this IS the Miss America pageant after all. We don't want to see these girls dressed like a First Lady. We want sequins and LOTS of them! And the dress definitely stood out on the stage.

You go, Kaynebow! We miss you!
