Zac Posen Resort 2010 Collection

Darlings, let's all get a cup of coffee and sit down and offer our opinions on dresses. Ready? Then we'll begin.

Adorable widdle Zac Posen showed his resort collection. Here's what style.com had to say:

"Zac Posen eschewed the forties-tinged Victoriana of his Fall collection to focus on more modern, real-world clothes. It was a sensible move. Taking "clean shapes" as his MO, he touched on everything from simple yet sexy stretch canvas sheaths to tops and wrap skirts in mix-and-match floral prints to jersey button-downs and ruched satin pants in hard-candy colors."

It's a toned-down collection, that's for sure. Lately, he's been trending bit towards more outrageous looks. All of this stuff (well, most of it) looks very wearable. We love the use of prints and color. The shapes and silhouettes are all over the place, from tight and body-hugging to exuberant full skirts. The only real criticism we have is that some of this stuff looks so heavy, which doesn't exactly come to mind when one hears "resort." Still, we like the collection. Favorites: the tuxedo jacket over the white gown, the ruched blue pencil skirt with the brown jacket, the orange and red cocktail dress; Least favorites: that pink one-shoulder dress with all that frippery and that orange gown with even more frippery. Both dresses look like they're going to fly off the models. Literally.
