Shelley O on Date Night

Date night, ladies!
And if we don't get this post out, our inbox is going to explode!

President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama (in Azzedine Alaia) at Andrews Air Force Base, Md. , en route to New York where they will have a private dinner and attend a play.

Generally speaking, we like to stay away from judging people for outfits that are not being worn for a public event. This being the First Couple and all, that's a distinction that doesn't quite apply. Sure, it's date night, but it's in front of as many cameras as you'll see at the average film premiere.

As for the dress, it's cute. Maybe not the most lower-half-flattering design, but it's got some sass to it. Don't really love the clutch.
