We Saw PRS6 Episode 1 and You Didn't!

Neener Neener Neener! We got a screener!

Now, Lifetime will have our balls if we give anything away (and truth be told, the screener ends just before the judging begins, so we don't know who's in and who's auf), but bitches? We have one thing to say (and it ain't "sashay, shante"):

THEY'RE BACK!!!!!

You have NO IDEA (but you will in a week) how wonderful it is to see all these people again. Even just hearing the familiar musical cues again was thrilling.

Let's see. What CAN we reveal? Well, we can reveal that a lot of our impressions of the designers were dead on (pre-judging works). We can reveal that the production values are gorgeous; everything is beautifully lit and shot. We can reveal that, because it's L.A., all the spaces are HUGE. Seriously; huge apartments, huge workspace, huge runway set. We can reveal that, at least so far, any fears about the show changing are unfounded. Yes, it's L.A. and yes, the first challenge is VERY L.A. (as is the guest judge), but it's still the show we've all come to know and love. Nothing of any importance has changed in terms of the style and feel of the show.

As for the designers, they're (as we already knew) a colorful bunch with a range of talent levels, styles, and personalities. With the exception of one or two of them, there was no attitude on display. They were all hugely grateful to be there and even a little in awe of the whole thing. One of them even called Tim "Mr. Gunn," which was kind of adorable. And speaking of Mr. Gunn, he's his usual warm, mentoring, fabulous self. There were tears (of course) and Tim was right there to give out hugs.

As for the clothes, well, there was what you'd expect from the first episode of PR: 16 looks, reeking of stress and desperation, some were fabulous, some were tacky, some were head-scratchingly weird, and some were just plain tragic.

What else? Oh! Heidi wore two gorgeous outfits (We know, right?), it was really weird to hear Nina referred to as Fashion Director of Marie Claire (and Heidi's accent mangles "Marie Claire"), and the Duchess unveiled a fetching shade of nuclear orange that outdoes any previous shades.

In short, it's back; it looks fantastic; and none of y'all have anything to worry about. BRING. IT. ON, Lifetime! Wooo!
